Platinum Window Cleaning is owned and operated by Michael Higgins who began his career in 2003 as a 21 year old living in Sydney working as a rock drummer by night and window cleaner by day.
After departing Sydney and travelling the world for a while Michael then came back to Australia finished his uni studies and became a high school music teacher for a few years.
The pull to start his own window cleaning company grew stronger though and in 2015 Platinum Window Cleaning was born.
Michael worked as a sole operator for 6 years refining his skills, building a strong client base and establishing the brand.
We now have several fully equipped vehicles, a dedicated well-trained team and thousands of happy customers across the Brisbane region.
We primarily specialise in medium/large residential & commercial properties.
You can rest assured knowing we're equipped and skilled with the latest industry technology enabling us to access even the most difficult to reach glass in a safe manner all while delivering an excellent result for you.
We can offer one time only cleans or if you require regular servicing for your property we can arrange a cost effective option that suits your needs.

Michael Higgins
Title: Owner/Operations Manager
Michael was born and raised in Springwood in the Blue Mountains, NSW, and brings 14 years of window cleaning experience to Platinum Window Cleaning. With a Graduate Diploma in High School Education, he blends clear communication with hands-on expertise to deliver a standout client experience. Entrepreneurship runs in his blood—his great-great-grandfather built one of Australia’s largest and most respected stage coach operations in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Driving that legacy forward, Michael is committed to building a service that goes above and beyond anything else in the industry.

Robert is a seasoned window cleaning professional with a calm, can‑do approach and high standards. Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, he learned the trade with a large window cleaning company—working alongside a team of 20+ cleaners and progressing to a senior role. That experience sharpened his technique, efficiency, and leadership on complex jobs. Now calling Australia home with his wife and young son, Robert brings dependable expertise and friendly professionalism to every project.

Born and raised in Paris, France, he spent a decade managing his family’s restaurant before transitioning into a security career—experience that honed his customer care, reliability, and attention to detail. Now settled in Australia with his wife and young son, Yassin is dedicated to delivering courteous, consistent service and a smooth experience for every Platinum Window Cleaning client.
Meet Michael:
1: What were your beginnings in the window cleaning trade?
“2003 I finished uni studies and moved to Sydney to play in bands. My day job at that time was working for a window cleaning company. We were working on a variety of properties, everything from car yards to luxurious domestic homes on Sydney Harbour. I stayed in this job until late 2006 and in that time developed my skills working with some of the city’s best. I have great memories of that time.”
2: What were you doing before Platinum Window Cleaning?
“After travelling the world for a while, I came back to complete my teaching degree in Brisbane. I then pursued a career as a high school music teacher for a number of years.”
3: How did Platinum Window Cleaning start?
“After discovering entrepreneurship and considering it as a new career option I decided to leave teaching and began trying a number of online business ventures but with little success. Leaving my job too early was a mistake and things started to get tough, I was running out of funds and needed something to work quickly. I began offering a regular window cleaning service to local shops, it was working and my new clients were loving it so I went for it.
Within 12 months I pretty much had a full schedule with over 200 shops on my list who I approached directly plus a growing number of larger commercial and domestic properties, these clients were all finding me through word of mouth. In January 2017 after much research and thought I made the big decision to continue in this industry and expand my small solo operation into a full branded company and am now in the process of building a strong team committed to the same standard of high quality results I’ve built my reputation on.”

I highly recommend Platinum Window Cleaning. We had the windows in three bedrooms and two bathrooms in our 3rd floor apartment, floor-to-ceiling 3 & 5 glass panel bifold doors, and glass balcony ballustrades cleaned this morning, on time and expertly done. So expert in fact, that I thought he'd left one of the windows out - it was that clean I had to rap my knuckles on it to make sure it was there. They also cleaned the 17-glass louvre cassette in the main bedroom, the adjustable louvred kitchen window awning, and, outside of the quoted scope, they cleaned four full length bedroom sliding mirror doors. On top of all that, all window tracks were cleaned and vacuumed. Absolutely stoked with their efforts and I reckon I'll be calling them again in 6 months! If you want bang-for-the-buck, call Platinum.
